Fundació Institut Universitari per a la Recerca a l'Atenció Primària de Salut Jordi Gol i Gurina (IDIAPJGol) and Catalan Institute of Health (ICS)

Fundació Institut Universitari per a la Recerca a l’Atenció Primària de Salut Jordi Gol i Gurina (IDIAPJGol) is a centre of reference in research and health promotion at the primary health care level that aims to promote and develop innovation, clinical, epidemiological and health services research in the field of primary health care. We also offer training to generate knowledge, disseminate results and transfer them to clinical practice to bring efficiency to the health system and promote and enhance the well-being of individuals.

Jordi Gol i Gurina Foundation was created in 1996 by the  Catalan Institute of Health (ICS), in order to promote and manage innovation, training, teaching and clinical research, epidemiology and health services in the field of primary care. Since 2006 it has been called Fundació Institut Universitari per a la recerca a l’Atenció Primària de Salut Jordi Gol i Gurina  (IDIAPJGol). In 2010 it was assigned to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) as a university institute for primary care research.

The role

Both IDIAP and ICS will be involved in almost every work packages of the project, providing their expertise in research and delivery of palliative care at the primary health care level. However, their main task will be to contribute to WP4 and, more precisely, develop a version of the HexCom tool adapted to the paediatric context in order to assist professionals, patients and families in assessing palliative care needs and strengths.
