Meyer Children’s University Hospital (Meyer)

Meyer Children’s University Hospital is a 250-bed public hospital that is part of the Italian National Health System, where it represents a national reference centre for highly complex paediatric patients.

It has been recognized as a Research Hospital by the Ministry of Health in the paediatric field and it is integrated with the University of Florence, with which it carries out healthcare, teaching and research activities, with a holistic approach to the care of patients and their families.

The hospital coordinates the regional paediatric palliative care network and will co-manage Casa Marta, the first paediatric hospice in Tuscany, which will open in 2025.
