Organisations and people without whom this would not be possible
The NursEduPal@IMPACT international consortium consists of academic educational institutions and organisations representative of the major settings where palliative care is provided (home care, elderly home facility, hospital, and hospice). Through this Community of Practice we will engage with diverse groups of individuals, including people from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds and with different learning styles, and capture their unique needs and preferences in the context of the project objectives.
Each partner has specific responsibilities in the project, but all teams work together for all work packages and have shared responsibilities and ownership.
Howest
Howest is a creative, innovative and entrepreneurial university of applied sciences with a strong reputation for socially relevant and practice-oriented education, valorisation-oriented research and service for the wider regional and international corporations.
The School of Nursing has a strong focus on clinical reasoning, practice through simulation, skills labs and internships, as well as personal mentoring to ensure students graduate as competent and proactive healthcare professionals.
The Howest Nursing research group conducts practice-oriented research on topics such as informal care and moral distress, but especially on educational innovation and palliative care. Their research findings are implemented in both educational and healthcare settings.
Howest Nursing is the manager of the NursEduPal@IMPACT project, the coordinator of work package 2, and the lead on all activities related to clinical nursing leadership.
Diak
Diaconia University of Applied Sciences (Diak) offer education in social and health care, diaconia and interpreting. Through its research and development activities, Diak participates in the regional, national and international projects.
Diak is the coordinator of work package 3 of the NursEduPal@IMPACT project, and the lead on all activities related to moral-ethical nursing leadership.
Hospice Casa Speranţei
Hospice Casa Speranţei (HCS) is a charity organization, founded in 1992 in Braşov , Romania. It is a large organization that embraces the mission to provide and promote palliative care services, education, leadership, advocacy and research in Romania and beyond. The services offered are free of charge for eligible pediatric and adult patients and their families. The scope of the organization covers three areas:
- Providing specialized palliative care services for adult cancer patients and children with life-limiting conditions; services are organized in settings like inpatient units or outpatient day centers and home-care palliative services
- Education and research programs that increase the professionals’ competences for all members of the palliative care cooperation with national authorities team through postgraduate national programs
- Leadership and advocacy for developing palliative care in Romania and the Central-South Eastern European region by organizational and professional support and consultancy for setting up palliative care services, development of pilot programs and cooperation with national authorities.
HCS is the coordinator of work package 4 of the NursEduPal@IMPACT project, and the lead on all activities related to professional nursing leadership.
European Association for Palliative Care
EAPC is a membership organisation of professionals committed to supporting the promotion and development of palliative care throughout Europe and beyond. Our members are united by our vision which aspires to see palliative care availablity and accessiblity, wherever and whenever it is needed.
EAPC is the coordinator of work package 5 of the NursEduPal@IMPACT project, and the lead on all activities related to dissemination.
