Description: 

The Hospice-Palliative Care Department was established as the first of its kind in Hungary in 2012. It is the result of the joint and coordinated professional, teaching and research work of the Institute of Primary Care of the University of Pecs Medical School and the Hospice Foundation of Pécs-Baranya. The Department’s main task is to implement and further develop the hospice-palliative approach and practice at regional, national and international level. It aims to achieve these goals through the development of undergraduate and postgraduate education and training programmes, the expansion of care delivery, cooperation in the development of regulatory and funding systems, and the participation in national and international research programmes.
