A stepped wedge trial is a cluster-based trial where all sites eventually will receive the intervention. This will be implemented in all seven countries, in two hospital sites per country to provide a large-scale demonstration for transitional palliative care.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000\">2.To <strong>undertake the analysis of effectiveness and cost effectiveness of the trial<\/strong>. Based on the data as collected in CASTOR two analysis will be prepared. The first concerns the primary and secondary effectiveness outcomes, and the second concerns the cost-effectiveness analysis.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000\">3.To <strong>publish the results of the trial<\/strong>. After analysis of the data, the results will be described in a report highlighting the results of the (cost) effectiveness of the Pal-Cycles study. To provide the <strong>conceptual and practical research ethics frameworks<\/strong> to ensure that Pal-Cycles is performed<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">according to responsible conduct of research and guarantee that research within this project is performed with the highest <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">ethical standards.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2. To <strong>explore the ethical and sociocultural challenges<\/strong> surrounding transitional palliative care and the implementation of <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">the Pal-Cycles programme.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3. To <strong>describe and explain how patients, their families and healthcare professionals experience<\/strong> the (gradual) transition <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">from active cancer treatments towards palliative care and how they value the Pal-Cycles framework using an ethics <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">of care perspective.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4.
